At Clayoquot the main attraction is the wilderness itself, consequently daily activities need to be completely flexible. The adventures are expertly tailored to each guest by the Activity Directors this depends on levels of experience, their willingness and desires. Every evening the team will sit with guests personally and design an experience for the next day depending on weather, tidal charts and animal sightings. There is such an abundance of activities on offer, a myriad of outdoor adventures, guided and un-guided: Hiking, Kayaking, Horseback Riding, Mountain Biking, and Wildlife Viewing including whales, sea otters, eagles and grizzly bears.  Then try a hand at Skeet Shooting, Archery & Rock Climbing, Marine Activities, Salt and Fresh Water Fishing which is impeccable for anglers, or just relax around the resort and admire the perfection of the magnificent scenery of Canada.

At Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, Vancouver Island, Canada, all activities and delicious meals are included, as well as all beverages: house bar, wine and beer.

Accommodation

Clayoquot’s Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island, consist of 20 deluxe giant white canvas tents, made in the style of the grand African safaris of Hemingway and Roosevelt, complete with evening turndown service. All have propane “wood” stoves, antique dressers and tea tables, opulent rugs, treasured china and a profusion of candles completing the night scene. Most have en-suite bathrooms with full showers, while others have individual outhouses. The resort has a spa and hot tubs as well as two large tents; one for dining where they served up modern natural cuisine, the other a lounge tent. The lounge tents has been designed to look more like a private club inside, with billiards, bars, and even an internet café, thanks to satellite.
