The signature restaurant, Jamavar brings a new experience to Southern India’s culinary capital with a fine mix of North & South Indian cuisine from the royal kitchens served in a traditional yet contemporary ambience. China XO offers an exquisite Chinese menu served overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Dishes range from spicy Szechuan beef and Cantonese chicken to innovative dim sum. Spectra is an informal all day dining venue offering an eclectic mix of global cuisines from around the world. The Leela Palace is in the perfect location from which to experience this vibrant city with its diverse cultural and historic attractions such as Fort St George, founded in 1639 it is the first ever British fort to be built on Indian soil, or the Sri Parthasarthy Temple an 8^th century Vaishnavite place of worship which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Further afield Mahabalipuram was a 7^th century port city containing various historic monuments which has now been classified a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After an exhausting day of sightseeing return to the hotel, where theworld-renowned ESPA at The Leela Palace offers rejuvenation and relaxation. This two level spa is a soothing retreat of natural wood, hand carved stone and soft furnishings. An array of treatments will help harmonise body mind and soul.

Accommodation

All of the 326 rooms at the hotel are luxuriously appointed. The 232 deluxe rooms are situated between the 1^st and 8^th floors and have views over the city or the sea, marble bathrooms with glass walled shower and deep soaking tub. The 8 Premiere rooms are on the same floors but are slightly larger and all come with uninterrupted sea views. Executive and Junior suites offer comfortable splendour, opulent amenities and panoramic views; they have the added benefit of separate living room, bedroom and powder room. On the 7^th and 8^th floors the even more spacious Luxury Suites, also have the added luxury of a dining table for four. Even more opulent and desirable are the Grande Suites, Royal Suites and most magnificent of all, the Maharajah Suite. The Royal Club rooms and suites offer guests use of the Exclusive Club Lounge with complimentary food and beverage presentations throughout the day.
