Tswalu (Tarkuni & Motsi) - Accommodation
Tswalu Kalahari, owned by the Oppenheimer family, is South Africa’s largest private game reserve, covering an area of over 1000 sq km. The Kalahari Desert game viewing is fantastic and very different to that in other areas of South Africa; the safari experience here is unique!
Experience
Guided walks meander across silent red dunes. Drives in open-sided safari vehicles traverse the Kalahari wilderness and stop at the most scenic spots to allow you to enjoy an impressive sunset or splendid bush dinner. Bird watching, star gazing, and exciting visits to the habituated meerkat dens of Tswalu are just some of the activities on offer. Desert black rhino, Black-maned Kalahari lions, Meerkats, Cheetah, Roan, Sable and Eland are all here and there are optional horseback safaris on offer too!
