Mara Plains Camp - Accommodation
Mara Plains is one of the most exciting camp’s in Kenya's Masai Mara system and re-opened in 2013 following a significant rebuild and upgrade. It is situated just a few hundred meters to the north, in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy; a haven for big cats, a route of migration and offers some of East Africa's finest year-round game viewing.
Experience
Here at Mara Plains Camp you will not experience the crowds for which the Masai Mara has become known. There is a strict minimum of at least 700 acres per room in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy and mini-buses are banned! Mara Plains Camp has access to over 100,000 acres of low vehicle density prime big five game viewing areas; in addition to the more usual morning, afternoon and evening game drives, balloon safaris, wildlife walks and village visits are also offered.
Accommodation
Each of the huge seven tents is built on a raised, stilted wooden platform, with en-suite bathroom facilities and a private veranda that offers spectacular views over the vast, stretching plains.
