Kenya’s Masai Mara defies description: the spectacular migration of wildebeest and zebra searching for lush grazing following the rains, stalked by the omnipresent predators, is one of the world’s greatest wildlife marvels.
But the migration is by no means the only feature – this fascinating eco-system is home to enormous herds of resident plains game, the big cats and elephant as well as colourful birds, small game, riverine wildlife and stunning scenery; it teems with game the whole year round and the concentration of non-migrating resident game is still astonishing!
This is one of Africa’s busiest national parks but we make sure you are in the lowest people and vehicle density locations keeping your experience there as private as possible.
The most exclusive safaris are in the conservancies bordering the national park that have been established between the safari camps and the Maasai landowners; these partnerships protect the Mara ecosystem and also protect the interests of the Masai people who live within them.
