Kwetsani Camp

Kwetsani Camp is a stunning little camp in the beautiful 150,000 acre private Jao Concession on the western side of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. The rooms are part wood, part thatch, part canvas and part glass and are built high up with an airy tree house feel with stunning views over the surrounding floodplains.

Experience

Just like her 3 sister camps in the private Jao Concession the safari experience here is mainly based around water activities such as boating and mokoro activities and fishing but game drives are also possible. Lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, tsessebe and red lechwe are among the major game attractions at Kwetsani Camp, while hippo, sitatunga antelope and crocodile reside in the deeper, permanently lily-filled lagoons of the area. Nocturnal animals such as porcupine, aardwolf, serval, large spotted genet and lesser bushbaby can be observed on the night drives when water levels permit.

Accommodation

Five beautifully furnished ‘tree-house’ rooms, with en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower are elevated and connected with wooden walkways. The main area includes a dining room and lounge area situated under a cool thatched roof, and leads onto a wooden deck that looks out over an enormous floodplain often dotted with plains game. A walkway leads to a plunge pool with loungers where you can watch the animals from the comfort of the pool or the privacy of your own room.
