Duma Tau Camp
Duma Tau Camp, Botswana is situated in the prolific wildlife haven of the private 300,000 acre Linyanti Game Reserve; an area well known for its large concentrations of elephant during the winter months. It was rebuilt to much acclaim in 2012.
Experience
General wildlife viewing is excellent year round including impala, wildebeest, red lechwe, Burchell's zebra, giraffe, Cape buffalo, chacma baboon, vervet monkey, and warthog. Predator sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyaena are good. In addition to day and night game drives short nature walks can be taken along the Linyanti River and Savute Channel, while the camp's barge takes guests along the waters of the Linyanti offering a different view of the game in the area when they come down to drink. There are also a number of platforms and hides from which to view and photograph animals and birds.
Accommodation
Duma Tau Camp was completely rebuilt and relocated in 2012. The 10 rooms are raised off the ground to take advantage of the dramatic views of Osprey Lagoon. Each en-suite tent is spacious and comfortably furnished and spread out under a canvas roof and there is plenty of “clear” netting around the room to enjoy the views across the lagoon from the comfort of your own tent; there is an airy and expansive dining and lounge area, a plunge pool and a guest bathroom, all overlooking the lagoon.
