Park Hyatt Siem Reap

Just 20 minutes from the airport the Park Hyatt Siem Reap is in the perfect location right at the heart of this vibrant town. Situated within walking distance of the markets, shops and river but most importantly, just a short drive away from the majestic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat; the amazing temple complex. Formerly known as Hotel de la Paix, one of the top hotels in Cambodia, this beautiful property has now reopened as the Park Hyatt Siem Reap after a 14 month top to toe renovation. Secluded from the road in manicured gardens, the architecture of the dramatic white façade is inspired by the ancient Angkor ruins.

The Experience

The Dining Room, which opens out on to the lovely courtyard with its Banyan Tree is the venue for delicious meals, with a mix of traditional Cambodian dishes, French provincial and Khmer cuisine, all created using the freshest possible produce from the local markets. The retro chic Living Room is the perfect place for high tea in the afternoon or a cocktail in the evening. The Glasshouse Deli Patisserie is famous for its pizzas, pastries and ice cream and is perfect for a leisurely break or a quick on the go snack.

Angkor Wat is the real must see experience in Siem Reap with its many temples spread across a huge area, but there are other delights to see. Wander around the town with its old buildings reminiscent of French Colonial times and go shopping for Cambodian handicrafts; see the wildlife around the beautiful Tonle Sap, the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia. Venture into the surrounding countryside to visit the local villages set among the paddy fields.

After an exciting day of sightseeing, guests will be able to relax in the surroundings of the Park Hyatt with its two swimming pools; one freeform for lazing around in and one lap pool for those who are slightly more energetic, who will also enjoy the fitness centre. Those seeking pure indulgence will find it in the Spa where facials, body treatments and massages are given by skilful therapists. Locally harvested aromatic floral resources and ingredients are used which embrace the very essence of a natural and authentic Cambodian experience. A rooftop relaxation space provides the perfect venue for yoga or a relaxing foot massage.

The Accommodation

The 108 rooms and suites have all recently been refurbished under the careful direction of the award winning interior designer Bill Bensley, who was responsible for the original design of the property. Each of the guest rooms is decorated in a summery palette with a king size bed, custom made furniture and contemporary art inspired by the Khmer people. Amenities include fresh fruit and Nespresso coffee machines; the spacious marble bathrooms have double vanities. Standard and Deluxe rooms have views of downtown Siem Reap while the View rooms look out on to the courtyard. The suites are some of the finest in the city with separate living areas, polished wood floors and Italian marble bathrooms, some of which have Jacuzzis. Park Executive suites have views over the gardens and have the additional benefit of a private plunge pool. The 152 square metre Rooftop Garden suites have many of the luxuries, but also have a private garden and skyline city views. The Two Bedroom Pool Suite and the Presidential Suite are for those seeking the ultimate in luxury. Both come with butler service, two bedrooms, private gardens and plunge pools with the magnificent Presidential suite also having a dining room.
